Hello!
Nick holds a BA in theatre from Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio with a double focus in Technical Direction and Directing. Nick thrives on the collaborative nature of different theatrical disciplines to produce a meaningful experience for an audience. He’s also one of those weirdos that loves production meetings.
Nick is passionate about teaching, and in the future, is interested in pursuing an MFA to teach students at the collegiate level. Nick is the former ATD and then Technical Director of the Short North Stage in Columbus Ohio, as well as the Wellington School where he built and taught the technical theatre curriculum for four years.
Nick is currently the Technical Director/PAC Manager at Dublin Jerome High School, designing and executing all technical aspects of each show in the five show season. He has recently started a tiktok sharing tech theatre tips and tricks aimed at high school students who may not have a full time TD available to learn from. He is also a freelance carpenter, props artisan and scenic designer.
In his free time, Nick enjoys taking in a good podcast, playing video games, attempting to cook, and hanging out with his two cats. They are cute. Here they are:
